A Long Overdue Update!

Hello everyone!

It's been quite a while since our last blog post—but for good reason. We've been busy with a few things, and we're excited to share them with you!

Originally, Project Greenify started as an effort led by two students. Currently, we have around 15-20 volunteers in both the US and India. Each member plays a vital role in one of our many projects, and our combined efforts have bore fruit.

We've launched multiple projects over the past months, including our Bird Feeders, Environmental Data Analysis, and Recycled Planters project. Each of our projects have a small subteam of dedicated members who work diligently every week to craft items or code.

As Project Greenify grew over the past two months, we have built a hard-working, dedicated executive team to manage sizeable sections of our weekly operations, including outreach, project development, and recordkeeping. We are happy to announce Erin Yang and Arhana Mandalam as our Director and Assistant Director of Projects respectively; Tasniya Rahman as our Director of Outreach; Calvin Wu as our Secretary.

We're also happy to announce a San Jose chapter of Project Greenify led by Leslie Gomez!

Expanding our operations into San Jose, a large city, opens many doors for us and our ability to make tangible, meaningful impact on the environment. We look forward to seeing the kind of collaboration and large-scale projects we can carry out with Leslie!

In the coming days, we'll be looking to share the findings of our first environmental data analysis project, so be on the lookout! As always, if you're interested in volunteering for Project Greenify, please click on the volunteer tab and fill out our volunteer form—we'll get back to you ASAP. Exciting times lie ahead!
